"The EVE Project" is a narrative-driven raising simulation visual novel where the player nurtures an emotional support robot and unlocks different forms through interaction.
It is a collaborative project with Ronglin Chen. My responsibilities include scriptwriting, coding, cover design, typeface design, UI design, and CG.
The story happens in 2035, when technological advancements have progressed by leaps and bounds, with robots of all shapes and sizes dominating the market. While they are intelligent and compliant, they are ultimately driven by programmes and algorithms. Family ties have become weaker, and interpersonal relationships have become more fragile and fleeting under the weight of social pressures and consumerism. The 'emotional economy' has therefore become a popular topic of discussion. While many people confide in artificial intelligence models, many others still believe that they cannot replace human warmth.
